Former SuperSonic Xavier McDaniel stopped by the KING 5 Studios ahead of the Seattle SuperHawks home game. The Basketball League team plays Saturday.

When asked if there is a specific place he likes to go to visit when he’s in Seattle, McDaniel said, “I gotta get that teriyaki chicken and the clam chowder.”

McDaniel also visits his family, who still lives in Seattle.

Tipoff for Saturday’s game honoring McDaniel for “Legends Night” is 7 p.m. at Seattle Pacific University in the Royal Brougham Pavilion.

McDaniel said he’s excited to see this year’s team in action, especially to see his friend Olden Polynice’s son, Chayce, play for the SuperHawks.

“It’s a great feeling to watch your child do something that you love and now they love,” McDaniel said.
